Perfectly situated to explore the wonders of Suffolk, Mardale is a short stroll from the centre of Southwold, you may enjoy a pint or two of Broadside in one or two of Adnams many pubs before taking a stroll along the beach and out along the famous pier.
If you prefer a longer and more bracing walk, the trek across the river Blyth to Walberswick and further maybe for you. Inland, there are many more places of interest such as the castles at Framlingham and Orford (here you can sample the delights of Butley Oysterage), the bird sanctuary at Minsmere, and the 'lost town' of Dunwich. and historic buildings and places of interest that make up this part of the world.
